I recommended The Daily Stoic in February as part of your morning routine. Each page provides a framing and intention for that particular day of the year, which I’ve found helpful.
Part of the source material for that book is Meditations by Marcus Aurelius. What’s fascinating is that it’s essentially a journal of reminders he wrote for himself, not public consumption. But the ideas are relevant to anyone still today, even though they were penned over 1800 years ago by a Roman Emperor. To me, that highlights the ubiquity and timelessness of this wisdom and the importance of journaling as a means to finding your way.
You needn’t call yourself a Stoic to appreciate this book. I don’t. The insights are valuable regardless of whether or not you subscribe to the overall philosophy. Many view the Gregory Hays translation as the best, and I also recommend it.

Way behind on these morning routines...Back in my late twenties, I carried Marcus Aurelius with me, trying to figure out to live. I haven't seen the translation of Hays, so that'll be fun to dip into. Thanks for the tip!
