This is an exercise called “shifting focus.” I consider it a stepping stone to meditation. Mindfulness practices involve paying attention to something and noticing when your thoughts distract you. However, we often overlook what focus actually feels like. I've designed this to help you tune into that sensation, making you more aware of when you lose it. You'll also notice how you can only fully concentrate on one thing at a time. If you’ve never meditated before, it's a fantastic place to start, offering you a deeper understanding of your mind's basic workings.
