Take a few moments to write something you are thankful for on a yellow sticky note every morning. It doesn’t need to be anything profound. Don’t overthink it. Just come up with a simple statement of gratitude. Then, place it somewhere you often see throughout the day. Any time your mind drifts to thoughts laced with sorrow, regret, or guilt, replace them with this declaration. Say it out loud if necessary.
I don’t care what you are going through. On your worst day, probably a billion people would trade places with you in a heartbeat. Train yourself to default to being grateful.
