Since this month’s article focused on anger, I thought it appropriate to recommend a book that discusses why politics and religion divide us so vehemently and, consequently, make us mad. The Righteous Mind by Jonathan Haidt is a fantastic analysis of what causes people to think differently in the first place and why we have so much trouble understanding others’ points of view. I found it incredibly insightful.
Haven't read it, but have listened to a lot of podcast interviews with him, and what he says makes a lot of good sense to me.
All of his books are great. Highly recommended.
