Of all the mental health books I’ve read, The Happiness Trap by Russ Harris is probably the most actionable. It’s based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and delineates useful tools to help you pursue mind fitness. Theory is great, but practice is even better. To train your mind and ultimately optimize your experience, you need exercises to perform. After all, reading about physical fitness won’t give you six-pack abs. Working out and eating right will. This book is a great starter kit for getting mental reps in.
Thanks for the recommendation - I will check it out.
